Carl Lundquist Funeral Tuesday
SCOTTVILLE - Carl Lundquist, 50, prominent Scottville business man, died Saturday at Paulina Stearns Hospital in Ludington, where he had been a patient for one day. In failing health for the last seven months, Mr. Lundquist was born in Ottawa County, moved to Mason County in 1928 and to Scottville in 1939, after his marriage to Betty LaBarr, who survives. Services are scheduled at 2 Tuesday at the Stephens Funeral Home, with burial in Brookside Cemetery. He was owner and operator of Lundquist Furniture Store, past president of Scottville Chamber of Commerce, charter member and past president of Scottville Optimist Club, was serving as chairman of the retail division of the Chamber of Commerce and had served as general chairman of the Scottville Harvest Festival. Survivors, in addition to his widow, include two children, Karen and Brian, both at home; three brothers, Clinton of Casnovia, Clifford of Custer and Wesley of Kent City; five sisters, Miss Irene Lundquist, Flint; Mrs. Morinne Thatcher and Mrs. Malcolm Pearcy, both of Ravenna; Mrs. Garth Bradford, Muskegon, and Mrs. Elmer Leckrone, Indiana.
