She was born February 27, 1914, in Ashland, the daughter of Turner Everett and Minnie Beulah Haynie Christian. She married Alonzo Roy Myers in 1933, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Myers of Ashland; three grandchildren, Randy Myers of Jefferson City, Kem Helmka of Ashland, and Jenny Brooks of Columbia; four great grandsons, Josh Myers, Justin Helmka, Daniel Helmka and James Brooks; one step-great grandson, Zane Brooks and one great-great granddaughter, Kathryn Myers; one sister, Ella Margaret Calvert of Blue Springs, Mo. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Roy Myers; two sisters, Gladys Taylor and Ione Salsman; five brothers, Kenneth, Wallace, Herman, Allen and Derby Christian. Services were held Monday, October 16, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Missouri River Hospice.
