The Streiff family being one of them with references from the following towns.

Linthal.............1553
Schwanden.....1580

Details from the Billeter's collection are available on film ( FHL INTL Film 193485 )

"International Genealogical Index (IGI)" also available at LDS Family History Centres.

Biography of Julius Billeter, Jr. (1869-1957), a Mormon convert, who immigrated in 1882
from Switzerland to Willard Utah, and then to Salt Lake City. He was joined by his
father and mother and most of their family in 1884. Julius Jr. married Maria Emie Wilker
in 1891, and in 1899/1900 they moved to Switzerland, with Julius Jr. serving as
an agent for the Genealogical Society of Utah, and doing genealogical research for
various individuals.

Many of the early names in this "STREIFF FAMILY TREE" refer to Billeter's
archive numbers as well as the Folio number from the hand written book from which
they were transcribed.

Note: In most cases with reference to Streiff files, Julius's notes are correct
but their is the occassional mistake.
