From time to time I receive requests for information. Time and work do not permit me to answer anything but simple requests. I have included a few guidelines which may help the process. 1. Please include any dates you may have on the person/persons you are inquiring about. Eg their birth date and death dates if you have them, spouses, marriage dates and any other relevant information you may have. Too often I receive a request for information on for example ' Fridolin Streiff ' no birth/death dates, no spouse, ect. 2. I generally refer to the date in the format 01-Feb-1800 which helps eliminate errors between the American and British way of displaying dates, eg the American way usually displays month, day, year, the British way usually displays day, month year. 3. Please include a reference to the web page/ URL, for example http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/s/t/r/David-R-Streiff/index.html or where you found my information you are inquiring about.
