The organization of this document starts with information about Johann "Peter" Streit and Anna Maria Bahres and their movement from Germany to America. It includes information about the ancestors of Peter and Anna.
This is followed by twelve sections, one for each of the children of Peter and Anna. These sections begin with information about the particular child and his/her spouse. Marriage licenses, birth, and/or death certificates are included as available. This is followed by an outline descendent chart of all of the descendants of that child that we are aware of.
To encourage correspondence between relatives, a current address list appears near the back of the document. An Email address list is also included for those of you who prefer electronic mail.
There is a separate listing of deceased members of the family by burial location.
The final item is an index of names and the page numbers on which they are mentioned.
Throughout the genealogy and the index, women are listed with their maiden names. In the address sections women have been listed with their married names.
A note with regard to pictures. I had only intended to put wedding photos of Peter and Anna's children in the book. However several people asked for and provided more photos. I finally made a decision to add more pictures in the section on Peter and Anna and then added the pictures of their grandchildren that I had available. Since this was not an organized request for photos, I apologize for the fact that pictures of many of the grandchildren are not included. I have kept the pictures that I have received of other generations. We will see what we can do with those in the future. They will certainly be part of displays at future family reunions.
