Moses N. Dellinger (b. 1803, d. 1872)
Notes for Moses N. Dellinger:
MOSES "N"NATHANIEL DELLINGER; was left an Orphan at a tender age and was raised by his Grandfather, Henry Dellinger. Henry Dellinger, by the standards of time was considered a man of wealth, owning large tracts of land, secured through Government Grants, and purchased from others. All his children and grandchildren were taught to carry on the duties necessary to life, such as Carpentry, and Iron-works, as well as the best methods of farming. The girls were taught the simple arts of home making, Cooking, Spinning and Weaving.
Following the custom of time, MOSES was Indentured to JACOB AND MOSES STROUP, who were skilled Ironworkers, operating an Iron Furnace and producing such items as Pots, Pans, and Tools required about the house and farm in those days.
Henry Dellinger died February 20, 1820 at the age of 80, at the home of his Son-in-law, PETER MOSTELLER, who married his daughter MARY, by his second wife.
Moses Nathaniel Dellinger 1803-1872, and his 2ND. wife Amanda Menerva Copeland 1805-1873, are buried along with 3 daughters, Mary 1834-1903, Sarah 1825-1913, and Zora 1830-1902, at Macedonia Church Cemetery Allatoona Lake area.
