LEAMON PHILLIPS, 75, of Oneida, passed away Sunday morning, December 9, 1979 at his home in Oneida following a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Perry Dice Phillips and the late Nancy Keeton Phillips and was also preceded in death by one son, J.C. Phillips and one sister, Flora Ross. He was a member and deacon of the Tunnel Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Millie Keeton Phillips; four daughters: Alene McDonald and Veneda Grimes both of Oneida: Lois Brown of Amelia, Ohio: and Joan Phillips of Helenwood: four sons: Ronnie D. Phillips of Asheville, N.C.: Bill Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio: Hertis Phillips and Mike Phillips, both of Oneida: one sister, Florence Jones of Oneida; one brother Clell Phillips of Oneida; 18 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives survive also.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday Decemher 11, 1 p.m. at the Tunnell Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Clifford Garrett and Rev. Dilmon Stanley officiating. Burial followed in the Hazel Valley Cemetery. Irene Chitwood and Imogene King sang.

Pallbearers were Ed Honeycutt, Lee Ohnis Coffey, Avery Honeycutt, Junior Keeton, Alton Ca rson, Keith Keeton, Ronnie Carson and Allen Keeton.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

MILLIE MAE KEETON PHILLIPS, 70, of Rt. 1. passed away Thursday afternoon, June 4, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville following a lingering illness.

She was the daughter of the late Harris Keeton and the late Ida Phipps Keeton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Phillips; and one son, J.C. Phillips.

She is survived by four daughters, Alene McDonald of Oneida, Veneda Grimes of Winfield, Lois Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Joan Phillips of Helenwood; four sons, Ronnie Phillips of Asheville N.C., Hertis Phillips and Mike Phillips of Oneida, and Bill Phillips Of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Maude Hammock and Edith Gibson, both of Oneida, and Goldie Yancey of Cincinnati; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted June 7, at the Tunnell Hill Baptist Church with Clifford Reel and Rev. C.J. Thompson officiating. Irene Chitwood and Imogene King sang. Burial was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Vaughn Cecil, Ed Honeycutt, Kenny Phillips, Lynn Phillips, Mike Wiison, and Bob Wright.

West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

The son of the late Perry Phillips and the late Nancy Keeton Phillips, he was also preceded in death by one infant son, Hubert Phillips; one sister, Flora Ross; and one brother, Leamon Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Maye Strunk Phillips of Oneida; two daughters, Verna Dean Boyatt of Norwood, O., and Mrs. Chris (Patricia Sue) Day of Rt. 3, Oneida; one son, James Kenny Phillips of Oneida; a daughter in law, Imogene Phillips of Oneida; one sister, Mrs. Edison (Florence) Jones of Oneida; one granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Boyatt of Norwood, O.; four grandsons, Steven Todd Boyatt of Norwood, O., Patrick Phillips of Rt. 3, Oneida and Shane and Nathan Phillips, both of Oneida; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 21, at the West-Murley Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Clifford Garrett and Rev. C.J. Thompson officiating. The Phillips Family Singers sang.

Burial was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Johnny O'Neal, Mike Phillips, Hertis Phillips, Charles Jones, Buck Hamilton, and Robert King.
