Thursday, November 11, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Born in Huntsville, Tennessee May 30, 1933 she was the daughter of the late ERIE
and J.J. SHARP. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville.
She was a retired school teacher serving for 20 years with both the Oneida and
Scott county school systems. In addition to her parents she was preceded in
death by her husband, CHARLES VERNON WEST; her mother and father in law, GRACE
and LEE WEST; one son in law, ROD ARMSTRONG; two brothers in law, GLYAN WEST and
JOE PURCELL; and one sister in law, LOIS WEST HARRIS. She is survived by three
sons, CHUCK WEST and wife KATRINA of Dresden, Tenn., MARVIN WEST of Knoxville,
and Dr. TIM WEST and wife, CHRISTY of Oneida; two daughters, BETH ARMSTRONG, and
MELAINE DUNCAN and husband, BILL all of Oneida; ten grandchildren, JONATHAN and
JUSTIN WEST of Dresden, Tenn., CURTIS, JOSH and AMY WEST of Oak Ridge, RYAN and
LEIGH DUNCAN of Oneida, NEWELL ARMSTRONG of Oneida, and CONNOR and PRESLEY WEST
of Oneida; one great granddaughter, MA ADAMS of Oak Ridge; six sisters, JEAN

graveside will be conducted Sunday, November 14 at 12:30 p.m. at Carson Memorial
Park. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the
Huntsville Senior Citizens Center 142 Mossop Street Huntsville, Tenn. 37756. The
family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until time of the funeral
