Strunk & Chambers of Scott Co TN

I am researching the Chambers and Strunk families of Scott County TN.

Thomas Chambers (1777-1871) was my great great grandfather, and he came to Campbell County TN (now Scott) about 1800. He married twice. My line descends through his second wife, Jane West Owens. My great grandfather was Francis Marion Chambers (March 3, 1840 to Feb 4, 1915) who married Julia Anne Margaret Wilhite.

My grandfather was James Michael ("Mike") Chambers (Oct 6, 1874 to Sep 21, 1971) who married Cordelia Honeycutt.

Daniel Strunk, born about 1775, settled in Whitley Co KY about 1815. Previously, he was found in Ashe Co, NC. Census records show he was born in VA.

His son, Abraham (1806- 1880) was my great great grandfather. He married Susannah (Yancey)(his third wife) and they lived in Scott County from 1868 on. Their son, Gideon Strunk (Jan 1864 to Feb 1937) married Martha Jenkins.

My grandfather, General H Strunk (Aug 15, 1885 to Feb 5, 1950) was the oldest child of that marriage. He married Rosa Bond (my line) and Emma Allred.
