Tract; paraphrased unless in quotes) --
(Vol. II, p. 114)...While at Ramapo, Mr. Alexander found
several other settlers who wished to take leases of the Proprietors
and be protected against the Fauconier Company (including five who
had already taken leases of Fauconier & Co.). On 13 April 1740
Derick Vandermaker (Wanamaker) and William Ramsay came to New York
and showed Alexander and Ashfield two leases. Settlers without
leases: ...Joseph Meeks, unspecified number of acres

by the Board before and now: ...Joseph Minks (Meaks), 100 acres
