I am researching the Suder family from Germany. It consists of the descendants of Johann Rudolph Suder born c 1665 in Germany. His second great-grandson, Philip Suder b 1822, immigrated to Marietta, Ohio, with his wife, Marie Elizabetha Fess, in 1857. Among other surnames are Lanam, Flanagan and Merry.
On my mother's side I am researching the Koch family from Germany. It consists of the descendants of Henry Koch b before 1818 in Hannover, Germany. His son, Rudolph Henry Koch, b 6 May 1835, emigrated from Germany and settled in Zanesville, Ohio. Among other surnames are Grieve, Briggs and Shreve/Sheriff.
