Doctor Lowery Lane (son of William Washington Lane and Sarah (Sally) Rhoades) was born 07 Feb 1828 in Cole County, Missouri, and died 27 Feb 1922 in Wenatchee, Chelan County, Washington.He married Julia C. Pace on 13 Apr 1850 in Cole County, Missouri, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Pace Jr and Hardenia Mildred Thacker.

Doctor & Julia started out their married life in Cole County, Missouri.She was 14 years old when they married, and he was 22.The 1860 census found them still living in Cole County Missouri In Jefferson City.They had 4 children: Mary J. age 9; Isabella age 6; Hardenia Izetta age 3 & Sarah age 1.
The 1870 Census shows they had moved to Shawnee County, Kansas in Topeka.Doctor was working as a foreman for the railroad.They had 5 children:Mary J was not shown so it is assumed she has married or possibly has died; Isabella is shown as Belle age 15; Isabella (has to be incorrect) the age is shown as 12 which would the correct age for Hardenia Izetta; Adeline (Sarah)age 10; Monroe age 8; Emma age 3 & Texas age 1.All the children were born in Missouri except Texas who was born in Kansas.
The 1880 Census has the family now living in Otoe County, Nebraska in Nebraska City.Six children are in the household:Addie (Sarah Adeline) age 20; John (Monroe) age 18; Emma age 13; George age 7; Delois (Delsie) age 5; & Charley age 2.Belle is not shown with the family as she has married (William Founte South) and is living in Osage County, Missouri. Hardenia Izetta is not shown so she has married; Texas is not shown and it is assumed she has died.
The Nebraska State census of 1885 shows the family living in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The children in the family are Emma, George, Delsie, & Charles.
No census record for 1900 has been found and in 1910 Doctor Lane is living in Tacoma City, Washington with his daughter, Delsie who is married to Harry Mooberry.His age is shown as 82.He died in 1922 in Wenatchee, Washington where he was living with Delsie and her family.
