A memorial service for Alice r. Jorgensen Moore, 70, of Council Bluffs will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the first Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Darrell Silkman officiating.
Mrs. Moore died Sept 22 at her home.She was born in Council Bluffs and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1943.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Moore, in 1983He was a U.S. Army Officer, and they had lived in various places in the United States and Europe.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty Moore of Morganville, N.J., Peggy Sweeney of Woodbridge, Va., and Becky Fucci of Vencenza, Italy; two sons, Joseph Moore of Albany, Ga, and William Moore of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Barbara Lutz, of Papillion, Neb; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Moore donated her body to science, and burial will be held later at the Military Cemetery at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.Cutler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was a mountain of strength and a fountain of love for her children.
"We thank God each day we had her and entrust her in His care forever".
