He went to Scotland with a party of kinsmen. They landed therem and made frequent attacks on their enemies. All the Isles from Man to the Orkneys, and all of the Borderland to Caithness in the north, were in possession of the Danes (Norse). Gael hid themselves in the mountains and woods. Gilbride then returned to Ireland to ask for help in winning back his inheritance.
