I am looking for any information on Elisha Surratt, Father of Patrick Surratt. He first came to America with Lafayette, as the Duke of Mont Sarrette, then returned to France, in 1799 he returned to America with his two year old son Aboard a ship to South Carolina. He changed his name to Elisha Surratt and moved Surray County North Carolina and Married Jane Jenkins. Patrick was borned some time between 1805 and 1807. He later moved to Grayson county Virginia, he appers in the 1830 census in Grayson County Virginia with Patrick and others. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
