I am currently researching my mother's roots. During this process I would like to meet all the family members, that my mom spoke of in her stories that she occassionally told me. It's wonderful how I placed a message on "PRRoots.com" message board and received a response from a cousin. What was even more interesting was he and another cousin are also searching the family roots and they were gracious enough to share information and stories that they have obtained. (1910 census etc...) Much of this information I remember my mother sharing with me. My mother was a happy person who loved to laugh, had a good nature and a very good heart.She would give you the shirt off her back and always wanted to help even if it meant her last dollar. This is why I want her memory to live. For the friends and family who remember her and the grandchildren who had not the pleasure of her company and stories.
My mother has two other living siblings - William Santiago ,who resides in New York City and a sister Alicia Santiago, who resides in Sabana Hoyos, P.R.. My mom passed away July 1, 1999 in Manti hospital and is buried in Arecibo, P.R.. I would like to hear from anyone that knew her or has pictures or stories to post on the webpage.
