During the late 1890's and early 1900's, the three patriarchs of the SURWILL/SURVILAS/SURVILLE Family in the United States emigrated from Lithuania. Although these three men were all brothers, early records showed variations in the spelling of their last names. William SURVILLE first settled in the state of Wisconsin, but later moved to Illinois. Anton settled in the state of Indiana, and Joseph settled in the state of Illinois.

Recent research has brought to light another individual with the same last name. It is possible that this individual was an uncle to the three men mentioned above. I have found a Frank SURWILL who along with his wife Olga (Alexandria) ULICKAS settled in the New York/Connecticut areas during the early 1900's.

The Surwill Family branches out from there, but has remained relatively small over the subsequent generations. Anyone with their last name spelled "Surwill", "Surville" or "Survilas" can possibly trace their roots to these five men.

I am part of the Second Generation born here in the United States, with another two generations following me. I have considerable data available, and am willing to share with those who trace their roots here. No bit of information is too small to forward, no fact insignificant, and all may share in the total research package. Since continual changes occur in family trees, I'll only display here up to my brother and myself.
