Notes for CATHERINE BLANCH REARICK:
daughter of WILLIAM REARICK and REBECCA WHITE
When John used to go downtown(Leechburg) to play Billiards, she used to go downtown and go shopping. Ray Frailey used to see Catherine and told John that he had seen her downtown.Catherine could never figure out how John knew where she was and never met or seen Ray Frailey.
Catherine is a baseball fan. She likes Pittsburgh Pirates, "of course". They used to go down to Pittsburgh when the boys were in the service to see baseball games around 1944.
When they lived in Leechburg, they had some conveniences like running water and indoor toilets. But when they moved out to the farm, they had to use the pitcher pump in the kitchen for water, bathed in the kitchen in a tub and used outdoor plumbing.
She likes to quilt, and she makes very pretty quilts. She donated a quilt to the Fire Department in Elderton and David Graff won the quilt (Clarence and Marie Graff's son).
