OHN WESLEY MCMICKLE:
J.W. McMickle     

Eldon - John W. McMickle, 89, died at the home of his son, S.L. McMickle, at Agency, where he had lived for the last 10 years, about 5 P.M. Saturday as the result of a heart attack.
He was the son of Harry and Elizabeth Stroud McMickle and was born on a farm six miles south of Eldon in Davis county February 14, 1851. He spent his entire life in this community except five years in Marion.
He is survived by one son at Agency and was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter. He is survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild
Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 at the Bethlehem Chruch, with the Rev. E.H. Willey in charge, assisted by the Rev. E.M. Gregson. Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery.
He was prominent in the Bethlehem Chruch, where he led in musical work, and was known throughout this vicinity as a singer.

      The marriage of Miss Francis McMickle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. McMickle, who live northwest of Milton, and Mr. Harry Litchy, of Waterloo, Iowa took place at Carthage, Illinois, last Saturday, April 18th. The bride was a graduate of the Troy high school with the class of 1933 and a young lady much admired by all. The groom is a young farmer of near Waterloo, and is well and favorably known there. The happy couple will make their home on a farm near that place. Their many friends will wish for them a life of happiness.

HENRY MCMICKLE

      Henry Mcmickle died at his home west of the city, yesterday at 11 P.M. He was 61 years old.
      He is survived by his wife, Alvira; one son, William; four daughters, Mrs. Will Darner of Fremont, Mrs. Loren Grooms and Mrs. Fred Miller of Ottumwa and Mildred at home.
      The funeral will be held from the West End Presbyterian Church Saturday at 2 P.M.. The service will be in charge of Rev. W. P. Fink. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

HENRY SAMUEL MCMICKLE

      Henry Samuel McMickle died July 31, at 11 P.M. at his home in West Ottumwa, age 61 years, 2 months and 22 days.
      Mr. McMickle was born May 9, 1857 in Davis County, Iowa and was the son of Harrison and Elizabeth McMickle. For the past twelve years his home has been in Ottumwa. He was married June 5, 1877 to Elvira Elizabeth Koontz, who survives him.
      Others who are left to mourn his departure are five children: William H. McMickle, Ottumwa; Mrs. William Darner, Fremont; Mrs. Loren Grooms, Mrs. Fred Miller, Miss Mildred D. McMickle of Ottumwa; three brothers, Will of Marshalltown; John of Oskaloosa and Albert of Ripen, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. James Clendenen, Milton; Mrs. John Richey, Allerton; Mrs. Miles Palmer, Bonaparte. Three granddaughters and nine grandsons will miss their grandfather.
      The deceased was a most respected citizen of the West End, beloved by all his acquaintances. He had previously expressed himself as ready to die whenever God should call. The West End Presbyterian Church was his church home.
      His many friends felt sympathy for him in his suffering of the three past years, but were unprepared for the final call in the form of apoplexy.

MRS. ALVERIA MCMICKLE

      Mrs. Alveria McMickle, 88, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas H. Givens, 412 North Milner Street, at 10:45 A.M. today.
      The daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Koontz, she was born August 24, 1859, near Hedrick. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 44 years.
      Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Amy Miller, Miami, Florida; Mrs. Bertha Darner, Farson, and Mrs. Edith Grooms and Mrs. Mildred Givens, both of Ottumwa, and one son, William McMickle, Ottumwa. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Minnie Foster, Hedrick.
      Her husband preceded her in death July 31, 1918.
      The body is at the Johnson Funeral Chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.


MCMICKLE FUNERAL     

      funeral services for Mrs. Alveria McMickle of 230 Grand Avenue, who died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas H. Givens of 412 North Milner Street, will be held Friday at 3 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. W.J. Cresswell of the West End Presbyterian Church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery, and grandsons will act as pallbearers.
