from page 441 and 442 of the book, ' Breton Baily Genealogy' by Thomas H. Bailey.
An account of a legal dispute over land involving one Abraham Britton. It says "Said Abraham Britton, left one brother , Joseph, now deceased, who left surviving him as his heirs at law, a daughter, Margaret Britton, who married Sacket Wilson and who resides in the Stage of Texas, SECOND, Elvira Britton who died leaving three children, Polly A. Morelock, who married Alexander Farmer, who lives in Sequatchie County, TN, John Britton, and Sarah Britton who reside in the same Co. and State..." This legal document was filed in Hawkins Co., in 1900, regarding some land deal that occurred 50 years earlier.

pg. 449 Margaret Britton was born in Hawkins, Co. TN on 19 Dec 1922, and married there Sacket Wilson who was born 1818. The only child listed in this book was a daughter named, of all things, Clarkey, who was born in Hawkins Co., TN 30 Oct 1841 and married Thomas Ward.

(Peggy's note: This is Joseph Britton the Rev. War Soldier b. PA mar Margaret Jones in Maryland. )

I found Joseph Wilson married to Rachel E. Caldwell. License date 23 Jan 1866 and marriage date 28 Jan 1866. Same as what you have.
but, I also see a Prissilla Willson marrying a Markus Jones. License date 24 Mar 1866 and marriage date 25 Mar 1866. This could possibly be the sister of Joseph , Sackett and William. She would have been approx. 18 years old. The spelling in the census is different, being Priscilla. If this is her, it would be the first time I have seen reference to any of my Wilsons being spelled with a double L. Willson.
I have not heard of a Jones family either. But, it has been a long time coming to find your Joseph. I think we should check this one out. Cheez, what a name to have to look into. Jones. Wilson is just about as bad.
