I am researching the families of: J N Foland, father of Chester Henry Foland, b August 23rd 1853, NY., Chester Henry Foland is my great grandfather. Father of Milton Hugh Foland aka Hugh Foland married Nettie C. Haines in Whitewood, South Dakota.
Godfrey Haines b.1675 Hamburg, Germany, died July 22,1768, age 93 years, buried in Blind Brook Cemetery, Rye, NY. Some of his sons moved to Canada, some stayed in NY and were known to be some of the most defiant of the Loyalists.
