- SWAN-SVENSON-LENBERG-JOHNSTON-GRAVELEY -

Our name SWAN was originally spelled SVENSON from Sweden. When my great great grandfather left Sweden and came to America he changed it to Swan. Some of his brothers changed their names to Swanson
Anders SVENSON came to America from Sweden in 1881. He was born in Ostra Ljungby, Skåne Sweden. All brothers and sisters emigrated later to America. Anders (Andrew) married Julia Margretha Lenberg in Ashland County Wisconsin.
Georgina GRAVELEY was born in Ontario around 1860, she married George JOHNSTON who came over from County Cork Ireland. He worked for the CNR while living in Alberta. They raised 11 children...living in Gladstone Manitoba and then farming in Dewberry and Islay Alberta Canada. I have very little information on this line so far.

- PEASE-WARNER -
I am a descendant of Robert PEASE born in 1485 from Great Baddow England. there is allot of information on the internet on the Pease family. I am more familiar with the history of my gggrandmother, Cecelia PEASE. She was born in Wisconsin in 1866. Her father was John Nelson PEASE and mother Emily DARROW. Cecelia married Charles A. WARNER in 1880. He was born in Otsego County New York and parents were Russell WARNER and Sarah (possibly THOMAS). I have tried to locate a birth record for Charles, unfortunately they did not have birth records until later on in Otsego County.
- NEESE-WHALEY-REDHEAD -
My NEESE-NEAS-NEHS ancestors are originally from Germany. Mathias NEHS was born in 1673 in Germany. His family came to America on the Britannia. Most of my Neese ancestors were in Indiana, Iowa, Virginia and Tennessee and PA. Washington Neese was born in Greene County Tennessee in 1816. He married Leah Anderson. My gggreat grandfather, Elisha Huston Neese was born in Indiana in 1851 and married Mary Emma Whaley of Wisconsin. Both Neese and Whaley families were among the first settlers of Saratoga, Hamilton County, Iowa. There is a Neese Cemetery in Stratford County Iowa where Washington Neese is buried along with many other family members.
- LAIDLER-REDPATH-JOHNSON-WILSON -
My ggreat grandfather George LAIDLER was born in Durham England in 1861. He married Elizabeth Johnson in 1880 in Lanchester England. They immigrated to Canada early 1900's with their 6 children. They farmed in Fort William Ontario in a small community called Roslyn.

James John WILSON (Metis) married Margaret Redpath LAIDLER (English) in 1916. His mother was Henrietta Ross or possibly Rose. His father was Jacob John Wilson who worked for the Hudson bay Company. he came over from the Orkney Islands in Scotland.
JONES-WILLIAMSON-BANKS-
Edward Frederick JONES was born in Wales in 1853, he married Ruth WILLIAMSON- born about 1860. I have no further information on her. William JONES (Pop) my great grandfather was born in Pontefract Yorkshire in 1877 and lived in Featherstone Yorkshire with my great grandmother Alice BANKS, (Nan). They emigrated to Canada in 1908 settling first in Winnipeg. They went to Brandon Manitoba about 1915.
