Swain Family Home Page

I'm researching the Swain Family. Jabez Swain born 1843 in the Luton area (possibly Caddington) of Bedfordshire, England. His sons, Sidney and Albert (b. 1867) moved to West Hartlepool, Durham in the North East of England around the turn of the Century.
Further afield, I am also researching the Thurston Family, currently of Durban, South Africa. Stephen Thurston b, April 8 1864 of the USA army (possibly born) and residing in Syracuse, NY, USA emigrated to the Transkei, South Africa c1925. There he married Veronica De Sissing (or variant Sissing).

Another line of the Thurston family has been traced to Picton, Prince Edward County, Ontaria, Canada. No more is known about this line at present.
