Dennis L. Swartz's Genealogy

My Grandfather, George (Haynes) Sponsler, appears to have arrived in Plymouth, Indiana, on an Orphan Train. He was born in the late 1880's in Saco, Maine. I have been there an found nothing in the City's birth records. I have scoured the cemetery there. His father supposedly was lost at sea. He had siblings. They all were supposedly adopted out. Unsolved mystery. Help!
