These are the Weaver's as far as I have them. We know that Jacob Weaver who married Christina Dormeyer had a father who was Jacob Weaver, Sr. who was a Fife Major in the American Revolution and was given land 10 miles west of Philadelphia which would be in Montgomery County, PA. We do not know Jacob Weaver, Sr.'s wife or other children. We know he moved through and lived in several counties such as Montgomery, Northampton, Lehigh, Centre before finally landing in Blair Co. He lived in Newry for some years as carpenter, cabinetmaker then removed to Altoona sometime before his death. When I say we, I have a cousin Jan in Ohio who is working with me on these Weaver's as she too is a descendant. We'd like to find his papers on the land and find out everything we can on this line. Into this line comes Dormeyer, Fritnern, Koppel as well as Anderson. If you know anything at all about these folks we'd appreciate your help in finding out more about these Weaver's and their other family. We know the Dormeyer, Koppel kin came from the Alsaace part of France which came from Germany. We'll share what we have and would appreciate anything you can share with us. We're also researching NELSON from MD to NC and also AL.
