Notes for LEVEN C. SWANN:
Leven's middle name is listed as Covington in a lot of places. I don't know if it is correct or not.
Leven appears on both the 1790 & 1799 Tax lists for Lexington Parish, Amherst Co. VA. He appears on the 1806 Kanawha Co. (W)VA tax list. He appeared on the 1809 list along with Thomas Swan and a Lindsey Swan. A lot of early records list his last name as Swan. (There is a John Swann in Amherst Co. VA., as a merchant, in 1767 and a T. Swann there in 1768. No connection yet.)
