Morgan Redmon was born Abt. 1793, and died date unknown. He married Susanna Pressley.

1850 Buncombe County Cencus Morgan Redman, his wife Susan and five of his children were still at home as follows: James, Newton, Leander, Nancy and Naomi A. Redman. He bought land 25 Jan. 1828 from Sampson Lewis, 100 acres on Gashes Creek -(Book 33, p. 10). He bought another tract of land 17 Dec. 1834 - (State of NC, No. 3240, Book 20, p289) Gashes Creek, 75 Acres and 23 Jan. 1841 (BK.22, p366) he bought 151 Acres on Gashes Creek. In the 1850 Bunc. Co. NC cencus he was 57 and Susanna was 52 years old and he was a farmer. The children listed were given to me (Ellen Redmon) by George Redmon and it came from an old family Bible.
