HARR of Western PA / GWYNNE, PAGE of Britain

Updated September 6, 2000

***
I am currently researching the HARR line of Bedford and Blair Counties, Western Pennsylvania, starting now with my 3rd great grandfather, John E. HARR (1801-1852) who married Charity DISHONG (1804-1881).
Common surnames in this line are ALLISON, BENDEN, BROWN, BURKET, BUTLER, CLAAR, CLAYCOMB, CORL, FEATHERS, HARR, KEIPER, McDANNEL, McNALLY, MOCK, RHODES, RODENOUR, ROUZER, SWANK, VARNER, and WEYANT.

Also of interest in Huntingdon County, Western Pennsylvania are descendants of my 2nd great grandfather, John H. PROUGH (1847-?), husband of Elizabeth FETTERMAN (1848-1931), daughter of John C. FETTERMAN.

On this side, the most common surnames include BENDEN, CLAAR, COLYER, CORL, HARR, PROUGH, and SWANK.

---

My other main focus of research is the GWYNNE / PAGE line of Wales and England. I have a single line going back to King Brychan of Brecknock, Wales, circa 450 AD and beyond.

Common surnames in this line are BROWN, DOMINY, GWYN, GWYNNE, and PAGE.

---

Any information about either line is most appreciated, and I will gladly share what I have thus far. To date, the tree contains over 2100 names.

Happy ancestor hunting!
