Direct Decendents of James Richard Swain of Vernon Parish, Leesville, La. Wife: Sarah Vick Children: Mary Jane B: December 1844, Georgia Catharine: 1848 Georgia Sally Ann November 1855 La. John F. abt December 1856 James Ezekiel 1857 Died: 1932, Fullerton, La. Buried: Holly Springs Cemetery William Harrison 1860 James Richard Swain was born in Georgia 1825. He married Sarah Vick, in Lowndes Co., Georgia 1843. A daughter Mary Jane was born 1844. Thereafter they left Georgia with Sarah's parents, David and Mary Vick and traveled to Rapides Parish ,La. and settled there. They raised their family there and most of the kids settled there and also raised their famiy there. In 1872 that portion of Rapides Parish became Vernon Parish. Mary Jane b: December 1844: Georgia married Robert L. Huggins. Catharine b: about 1848 Have not found any new info on her as yet Sally Ann b: November 1855 . It appears she may have been an invalid and never married John F. b: about 1856. married May Forest. A possible first marriage to Mary but not confirmed. James Ezekiel b: 1857 d: 1932 buried Holly Spring Cemetery, Fullerton, La. married Martha Elisa Young. Unknown name of first wife. Eliza was daughter of Oscar and Amanda Byrd Young. William Harrison b:1860 married Mary Lou Johnson. A daughter Martha was born. Mary Lou died unk time. Second wife was Fannie Muse. He moved to Texas. No father information is known. Martha Swain: No information on her. Since the above was written I have been able to find the ancestor's I have so long wanted to find or most of them anyway. |
