| My father, Peter William Swanson (probably born Per Wilhelm Svensson) was born in Klippan, Skane, Sweden in 1887. He emigrated to the US in 1907, was a painting contractor in the Boston, MA area, and after service in WWI moved to Clifton, NJ. He married May Roselle Conover in 1919 and lived in Clifton until his death in 1966. I am researching both the Swansons (Dad's brothers and sisters lived in the Boston area and in North Jersey) and mother's family (the Conovers are well known to geneologists in New Jersey) Any help or information will be welcomed and shared.
