William Sweeney built several motels in Sault Ste. Marie. The last one was called "Builtmore" because he did in fact build more than his competitors. He would always fill up the rooms because he would reduce the room fares until he was filled up.

He also owned a bar in Midland MI.

The author has a receipt for a Beer Permit for the Rainbow Club in Rudyard, 6-16-1933, $2.00
