Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: My Irish, Native American, and a new Acadian Ancestry


I have been researching my Genealogy for 3 years. I have collected numerous amounts of information pointing to my Irish roots. I have also found that Cherokee Indian runs on both sides of my family. My husband and I were married in 2000 and I started to collect information on his family. He descends from a long line of French Canadians who now mostly live in the southern part of Louisiana. English/Irish names on my side include: Sweaney, Means, Berry, Barefoot, Meyers, Flinn, Teague, Pierce, Gilbreath, Saunders, Fewell, and others. French names on my side include: Wigginton and Maupin. Last names on my husband's side include: Tastet, Kennedy, Leonard, Martinez, Cancienne, Chauvin, Robichaux, Boudreaux, Richard, Aucoin, and others.
