Alice Florence Mayo. He married (1) Rosamond Montague Brown Abt. 1907. She was born December 24, 1888 in Cincinnati, Hamilton, OH, and died May 06, 1966 in Preston, New London, CT3,4. She was the daughter of Lewis Francis Brown and Ella Montague Mokler.

Cambridge City Directories, living at 65 Norfolk St.
Herbert M Hanscom was a clerk at 52 Elm, Boston, and boarding in
Cambridge in 1906 (1906 Boston City Directory).
Herbert and Rose lived at 528 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA in 1908 (Birth
Record).
The 1912 Quincy City Directory listed Herbert M Hanscom as "removed
from city." Herbert M Hanscom, designer, and Ella M Brown, widow of
Lewis F, were both living at 14 Beach St, Quincy in 1915.
The family lived in Flushing, Queens, NY in the 1920s. He was an
ornamental draftsman in bronze and steel. Some of his designs were
elevator doors and the lamps on 5th street in New York City. Painting
was his hobby. Later he worked at Electric Boat (nuclear subs) in
Groton, CT.
Herbert M, Rosmond M, Edwin L, and Daniel Hanscom were living on Way
Hill Road in Waterford, CT in 1937.
Herbert M. Hanscom, draftsman at the BPP Corp, and his wife Rosmond M
were living off Fog Plain Road in Waterford, CT in 1943 (1942-43 New
London, CT City Directory).
