      9. Hannah Morse, born October 30, 1799 in Norway, Oxford Co, ME40; died September 24, 1877.

In 1819, William Hanscom and his family were living in Norway, ME
but by 1820, had returned to William's native Danville. Over the next
few years, they resided in the following locations: Durham, ME
(1820's), Peru, ME (1830), Norway, ME (1833), Danville, ME (1834),
Durham, ME (1840), Cambridge, MA (1840's), Pownal, ME (1850), Poland,
ME (1860's), and finally in 1873 in Somerville, MA. He was a farmer
by occupation. Old Danville records indicate that he was tythingman
in 1842 and school agent for the sixth district in 1846.

Her sister was possibly Mary Morse (b. 1803) who married John
McAllister. The McAllister family lived in Lancaster, NH in the early
1800s and came to Oxford, ME before 1850. The Chronicles say "[IT:
... Moses did sojourn in the house of one McAllister his aunt and did
meet one Mary whose surname was Leavitt who came from another country
wherein her parents John and Abigail did dwell even in the goodly town
of Lancaster in the Kingdom on New Hampshire.:IT]
