Elizabeth Jordan. He married 17. Mary or Molly McGray August 29, 1786 in Danville or Durham, Androscroggin, ME.

      17. Mary or Molly McGray, born February 02, 1767 in Harpswell, Cumberland, ME60,61; died May 16, 1855 in Bowdoinham, Sagadahoc, ME. She was the daughter of 34. II William McGray and 35. Susanna Turner.

Notes for III Moses Hanscom:
Moses III fought in the Revolutionary Var. He was only 15 years old
when he enlisted at Cape Elizabeth on April 13, 1775. He served as a
private in Capt. Dunn's company until his discharge at Cambridge, MA
in December 1778. He received a pension later in life for his
service.
As a young man, Moses left Cape Elizabeth and settled first in the
vicinity of Durham, ME. He was for a time a convert of the shakers.
From the New Gloucester, ME shaker records: "August 1784, Moses
Hanscom was one of the 'Pilgrim Band' which went out to go to New York
and up the Hudson River to visit Mother Ann Lee. She saw their coming
in a vision. They returned to Maine, departing 7 September 1784."

By 1790, Moses and his wife, Molly, were early settlers of
Pejepscot Claim, now known as Danville, ME. Following Danville's
incorporation as a town, Moses Hanscom III was one of its most
prominent citizens.
