I am researching the EVANS family from Bristol, IN. My main focus is finding information on WALLACE EVANS. Thus far, I have very little information on him, but per family stories and court records, I do know a few things.
1) It is believed he is from Wales, UK.
2) In December of 1874, his son, Bert Laverne was born in Indiana, and in January of 1875, a divorce from Mary Elizabeth (Hamlet) Evans is in the court docket as granted.
3) Circa 1965, my grandfather, Carl Evans, recieved a call from California from a person saying they were descended from Wallace Evans and wanting to know the family in Indiana. My grandfather did not return the call, or talk to them again.
I am also searching for information on the MARKIN family from near Gary, Indiana.
