Elizabeth M Swinnie 645 Pierce Street Vallejo,CA 94590-3330 707 648-2424 | As with so many families, there were three brothers - Hiram, John and Homer HART, but their Ancestors have escaped my hunt. All 3 brothers were supposed to have been vorn in Vermont in the very early 1800's and then removed to Ohio in the 1830's.Homer W. HART married Mary Baker Knowlton in VT Sept. 8, 1830 and their first daughter was born in VT.John and Homer had many land transactions before and after removing to Ohio, but Vital records are scarce for them. There are very few HART descendants that I can find for these brothers.Homer had only 1 son, John Homer.John Homer had two sons, but one died young and the other son, Frederick Henry had only one child, my Father John Frederick and then there was only me.The other family I am now starting to "beat" the bushes for are the STEWARTS.Homer's oldest daughter, Adeline Mary Hart married Thomas Stewart. My Mother was a HOGUE/HOGE, and there is lots of documentation on this family.I would be happy to share any or all of these.Other family names I am researching are BOLARD, CARY, SCOFIELD/SCHOFIELD, HOLLY, McCRAY, SAWYER, HOLLY, WALTON, WAKEFIELD and HALL.Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. |
