Andrew Jackson Baker b 1807mar Nancy Allen 3. henry Baker b 1809 1st mar Eliza Keatley 4. Caleb Baker b. 1813 married Ellenor Dorca Holcomb. 5.Sabria baker b 1815 m/.Walter Ferrel 6. Russel Leroy Baker b 1823 m Elizabeth Hutchins 7 . James 8. Joseph m. Rhoda 9.John 2 more girls have no name for. He had 130 acres of land in Ashe Co. N.C. Solomon parents was Rev Andrew Baker Jr. and Elizabeth Abent/avant.. The first children was born in Ashe co., N.C. Russel Leroy was born in Clairborne Co., Tenn. Now Russell went to Ark Washingtn Co., Ark 1850 census 1880 was in Brown co., Texas Census now James also went to Tarrant Co., Texas 1850 he also lived in Texas. And so did Joseph Joseph was also in the civil war . I don't have where he joined. I don't know if this helps or not . These Baker is so confusing.
Andrew "Andy" Baker born 1604 Buckinghamshire, England, to Boston area 1624. His grandson Robert & his sons developed the Pennsylvania rifle, later known as the Kentucky Long Rifle. Robert's son Andrew Baker married Mary Mollie Bowling, who it is believed was connected to Pocahontas, the Indian Princess. Andrew's son John "Renta" Baker was a "Longhunter", one of a small group of men who went west of the Blue Ridge Mountains for the first time on extended hunting & trapping trips (up to 2 years). John "Renta" Baker's son Isaac, born 1757, Chowan Co, NC married Hannah Houston, 1780 in Greene County, Tennessee. Hannah Houston is believed connected to the Houston family which produced General Sam Houston. Isaac Baker was truly an Early American Entrepreneur!
