The Minnesota Swoffer Family Home Page

In 1872, three sons of Alfred SWOFFER and Frances MALLYON, Dover, County Kent, England emigrated to Minnesota - Fred C., Walter John, and Alfred, who was my great-grandfather. He married Augusta Walsh, daughter of Richard WALSH and Anorah McMAHON, who arrived in Maine from County Clare, Ireland in 1847. Their son, Walter Alfred Swoffer, married Henrietta Gerlicher, daughter of Herman GERLICHER and Sophia STAACK,of Winona, Minnesota. They had eight children, of whom my father, Walter John Swoffer married Harriet Elaine Egge, daughter of Fred O. EGGE and Ingeborg MOLSTAD, descended from Norwegians of the Hadeland region.
I would appreciate information about any of these family branches, and would be delighted to share what I have collected so far.
