My family tree includes the surnames of CARTWRIGHT, VAUGHN, ADAMS, & LINDSAY, just to name a few.
My ancestor John Walton Cartwright b. 1793 in KY moved to Smith County, TN sometime before 1808. He had eight children (Lorinsy, William M Fod, Parthenia "Patsy", Oliver C, Richard, Harry, Elizabeth, and Polly). Oliver and William moved on to Dade County, GA. Oliver's son Leroy (my gg-grandfather) moved his family to Stone County, AR sometime before 1885. Since that time, the Cartwrights have lived in Stone and Independence County, AR.

The Vaughn side of my family originates mainly from Yalobusha County, MS. My grandfather, James Wesley Vaughn (1909-1978) was the son of Wilkes Freeman Vaughn and Edna Ethel (Lindsay) Vaughn.
