Okay, have since found out that the man on the far right end, is NOT Matthew Clark. My Uncle Jack said he remembers "Grandpa Clark" and the man in this photo is a Balkum. Matthew is shown living in the household of some Balkum's on the 1885 Walton County census, he is shown here as "Manta" Clark with wife, Eliza and son, John, who is 5 years old. This deepen's the mystery surrounding "Grandpa Clark" as I have also learned from an Aunt that she remembers her mother, Margaret Lee Clark Rowland, d/o Matthew & Eliza, saying that she had a half-brother named John and he is buried in an unmarked grave in Sandy Creek Cemetery. She remembers Grandma Rowland putting flowers on this grave. Who is the wife "Mary" listed as wife of Matthew on the 1880 Walton County census??? If anyone has ANY info on Matthew, please contact me!!!! Please note that all other's listed as before in this photo as the family of Matthew were correct. Margaret Lee Clark Rowland is holding my father, James Hubert Rowland, he appears to be about a year old here.
