State of Florida, County of Walton. On this 5th day of August, A.D., one thousand eight hndred and ninety two, personally appeared Daniel Neel, a resident of Union in the county of Walton, in the state of Florida, who, being by me duly sworn according to law, deposes and says: That he is the identical Daniel Neel, who served under the name of same, as a private in the Company of A.S.Justice in the regiment og Cavalry, commanded by Clo. W.M. Wilborn in the war with the Creek Indians in the year 1837; that he enlisted in Dale County,Ala on or about the 1st day of April, A.D. 1837, for the term of six months, and was honorably discharged in Dale County,Ala, on the __ day of October, A.D. 1837. No.1 That being duly enlisted, as aforesaid, he actually served thirty days with the Army or Navy of the United States, in the war as above stated, which service was as follows: That he was the whole time, from enlistment to discharge in said ____ service in the states of Alabama & Florida & in addition to this service he was in same war in the year of 1836, and was honorably discharged in both services. That he has never served in the Army, Navy or Marine Corps of the United States, otherwise than as above stated. No other service rendered. That he has never heretofore made application for pension but did for bounty land warrants & recieved no's 44801 & 59477; that he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the Pension-roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of July 27, 1892. That since his discharge from said service he has resided as follows, to wit: all the while in Walton County,Fla. and and he makes this down under above act. That he hereby appoints, with full power of substitution and revocation Longehand & Ballard of Washington D.C., his true and lawful attorney, to prosecute his claim.
