New research material has been added to previously published materials which indicates that this family's original surname was Meckendörfer Records from the Gemeindeamt der Evang. Kirche prove that Johannes was Johannes Meckendörfer, the son of Hans Jorg (Georg) Meckendorfer and his (3) wife, Veronica Meier, the daughter of Hans Meier. They lived in the area of Neckarau near Mannheim, Germany. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.
