* "My Canadian Ancestry"*

Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching my Canadian ancestry, particulary in New Carlisle, Port Daniel, Hope and Gascon area of Gaspe.Some of my ancestors were loyalists and British soldiers that arrived to the area in 1784. Others were from the Channel Islands and went to Canada in the early 1800's.
My Great grandmother Melvina Chedore left the Gaspe for Lennoxville around 1885. She married Thomas Maskrey in 1892 from Wirksworth Derbyshire England.
I would like to hear from anybody researching the following names and would be most happy to share any information
AHIER, BEEBE, BROTHERTON, CHATTERTON, CHEDORE, FLOWERS, MASKREY and SECORD
