My great grandfather was Franklin Henry Weathers, born in Springfield, Illinois on May 26, 1850. His parents were Hiram Weathers and Nancy Young Weathers. He married Cynthia Ann Evans. He settled near Lawton, Oklahoma in 1901, coming from Floyd, Texas. He was a carpenter and built some of the first buildings in Lawton. He bought a relinquishment four miles south and one mile east of Geronimo and two miles south of Junction City. He died November 30, 1926, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
