I recently found out that several generations ago our family name was Szumski. Some four generations ago, one Szumski, after escaping from Siberia back to Poland, changed his name to Syska to avoid recapture. This family tree only attempts to trace the Syskas.Few records exist, and any information pertaining to this line of Syskas, who prior to World War II lived in and around Zgierz, Poland, would be appreciated. |
