The Szczurek Family of California

Around the turn of the 1900's Jozef Szczurek immigrated to the U.S. from Poland, he settled in St. Joseph, Missouri before moving his family to Chicago, Illinois. Norbert Szczurek, his grandson (my father), came to California while serving in the U.S.M.C. in the 1940's. This branch has names such as Morowski, Jankowski, Luzbieczak, Szczurek, and Sturek.

Norbert Szczurek married Marilyn Forrester in 1947 in Watsonville, California. That branch is extensive thanks to the help of the Farris Family Tree on the World Family Tree, it traces back to England around the late 1700's. There you will find Forrester, Farris, Coppock, Coates, Ellis, Puett, and more, plus locations in Texas, Tennesee, Illinois, Oklahoma, Iowa, Georgia, as well as England and Scotland.

Norbert and Marilyn had four children and their branches are still growing. Names on those branches include Walter, Sexton, Kelsch, Garcia, Cole, Joachim, Masterson, Arnold, Price, and go back to England and Germany.
