FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CAIFORNIA

Funeral services were held yesterday in Eureka, California, for R.J.
(Jesse) Moses, former Benton County merchant. He was 82 years of age.

He had resided at Eureka for 30 years, but for many years was a resident of
Benton county and had been a merchant at Alsea, Philomath and Corvallis.
Interment was at Eureka.

Survivors include the widow Stella of Eureka, a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Bass,
Lyons, two sons, Leonard J. Moses, Philomath, and Jesse A. Moses, Gates,
one brother, Victor P. Moses, Corvallis.
