* Jack Tannam Family Tree Page*

Updated July 29, 2003

I'm living in county Meath just north of the capital but our family are from Dublin in general and Cornelscourt-Stillorgan in particular.

So far I have not been able to connect our family
with the Tanham family with roots in county Meath.
My fathers work on the family tree yielded no such
connection back as far as 1680 where the
Tannam family were involved in blacksmithing
in the Cornelscourt,Cabinteely and Tully
areas of south county Dublin.

They subsequently drifted into the general area
of Lad Lane, Quinns Lane and Baggot St where a
number were employed as carmen and lived, we assume,
as either tenants or servants at the rear, that is Lad Lane,
of the Georgian houses on Fitzwilliam St.
Later some of my own direct line were to be found on Dublins northside in the Millmount and Richmond Road areas of Drumcondra.
The available family tree is entirely the work of my father John (Jack) Tannam born Inchicore and late of Raheny who passed away on 8th November 1998.RIP.

I would very much like to hear from relatives
at home and abroad who could help me add their
childrens births and marriages to the tree without
infringing generally on your privacy or time.
