William Gambrill was convicted of burglary in Kent quarter sessions 13 October1938 and sentenced to 10 years transportation to Australia.iIndent no 95. Aboard the ship "Parkfield" The ship sailed from Sheerness 15 May 1839 arriving in Sydney1 September 1839.The ship's Master was J.T Whiteside the Surgeon was Alex Neil.Altogether William had fifteen children.
William and Sarah had to have the Governors permission to marry as Wiliam was a convict at the time of the marriage.
The chaplain who performed the ceremony was John Troughton the witnesses were Samuel Walters and John Tassell.

Eyebrows meeting, scar under outer corner of left eye. small dark mole on left cheek near the nose. Lost 1/2 forefinger on right hand. Scar on back of right thumb, Heart pierced with 2 darts. W.G tattooed inside left arm.
